Dear Readers, Wow, I haven't posted in 5 months. My life has been good. Many things can happen over 5 months. Let us begin with the summer. The summer was amazing. It was a great chance for me to be reminded how the Body of Christ should operate. It seems that Horizon had a finger print on everything that happened this summer from finding a job and having a place to live. This family of believers has made such an impact on my life that words cannot describe how thankful I am that I have found a place to worship and call home. The next major thing that is going on in my life right now is my investment in Mississippi College through SGA. SGA has been one of the best things that I have ever been involved in. The people that I have the priviledge to work with are amazing men and woman of God who love the serve, encourage, and make people laugh. They are a joy to work and be around. The Lord has truly blessed me with a group of friends this year that have already made a lasting impression on my heart and life. Welcome Week was a success. The Lord's hand was all over it and the work that was put into it was truly worth it all because of the lives that were touched and ministered through each event. Rush is about the start up and I am extremely excited! The ladies on Intertribal this year are amazing and have a heart to invest in each other and in the lives of the new rushies. This past week I celebrated my 22nd Birthday. Once again, I was reminded over and over through the course of a couple of days how blessed my life is with a variety of sweet, sincere, and loving friends who love life as much as I do and took the time to bless my life specifically for this occasion. It began with a surprise party from my sweet girl friends who even though a lot of them work were out past midnight to throw me a party. The theme was a COLDPLAY. It was amazing. The next day, I was taken out by my SGA friends who took me to Penninos. After eating I was surprised once more by a gang of Horizonites who came bringing balloons and cake. I was so surprised and blessed that they did all that they did. We danced the night away and had a great time! It was soo much fun. Many people can count their close friends on one hand. I am reminded again and again that I am unusual. I have friends from all aspects of my life who have cried, laughed, and invested spiritually in my life. Friends who love the Lord and desire the best for my life. May your life be as rich as mine is with friends and family who love the Lord and desire to encourage and live huge. Below are some pictures from the summer and my birthday and also some from welcome week and rush activities. SGA Retreat
